YWAM Poipet

History:
YWAM Poipet, Cambodia, established in 2016, initially focused on youth development by launching the Youth Development Center (YDC) to teach English to Cambodian youth and building relationships with the local churches and schools. Beginning with a team of 5 individuals, we have since expanded to 36 full-time staff members, comprising 28 Khmer and 8 foreigners.
In subsequent years, YWAM Poipet launched its first Discipleship Training School (DTS) in 2017, hosted their first international outreach team, and started a Bible Core Course (BCC) in 2018. These training programs aim to foster the growth of Christian leaders in Cambodia. Then in 2023, YWAM Poipet introduced the first Discipleship Bible School (DBS) in Southeast Asia, further solidifying its commitment to leadership development in Cambodia.
Beyond educational endeavors YWAM Poipet is deeply involved in community outreach through initiatives such as the GP Cafe, GP Education, and volunteer teams. Our outreach efforts encompasses youth education through the YDC, multimedia projects, and soccer ministry. Additionally, leadership development remains a core focus, with programs including DTS, DBS, and School of Ministry development which facilitates the training and integration of new staff.
Through these multifaceted initiatives YWAM Poipet aspires to contribute to the transformation of Cambodia by nurturing Christian leaders and serving the broader community. Our holistic approach addresses educational, spiritual, and social needs, with the overarching goal of empowering the next generation to effect positive change in the nation.
