Stetson Sakamoto

Windward Administrator

Howzit my name is Stetson. I was born and raised in Manoa before going to Oregon St. University for college. It’s in college that I became a Christian, in a lot of ways because of my friendship with Duke. I actually prayed the “sinners prayer” with Duke the day I graduated college in 2013.

After becoming a Christian, the Lord providentially moved me home and caused me to be unemployed for 6 months. Those 6 months proved foundational for my faith; I had unhurried time to read the bible, to ask Duke questions about the bible, and to just plug into the life of church. I eventually found a job, and after 5 years, a lot of prayer, and reading a book titled: Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper, the Lord providentially moved me to Minnesota to attended Bethlehem College & Seminary from 2018-2022. I graduated with my Mdiv, but more importantly, with a greater hunger to know God and to serve his people.

Thankfully, the Lord providentially opened the door for me to serve at One Love Windward. I have the privilege of using the gifts God has given me to shepherd the church at Windward where I been serving in an official capacity since 2022.
