Aloha, my name is Jen. I am honored and blessed to be able to serve the Lord together with my brothers and sisters of One Love, remotely, from Summerville, SC. I was born and raised on Oahu, in the town of Kalihi, and never thought I’d leave the islands. Surprisingly, the Lord moved us once before, to Washington state, of which I remained a remote volunteer of One Love at the time. This was during covid lockdown. The Lord then brought us back home to Oahu and 2 years later, the Lord sent myself, my husband and youngest son to where we are now, which is closer to our oldest son and his family. With the Lord’s guidance and technology of today, I am truly blessed that I am still part of the One Love ‘Ohana. Together we also have 2 dogs, (a mini long hair chihuahua and a labrador retriever – quite the size difference), and a 27 pound cat that we can’t figure out whether he is a mainecoon or a ragdoll. 

During my free time, I love creating crafty things… handmade cards, scrapbook pages, junk journaling, ribbon leis, digital creations, laser creations, etc., and have taught a few classes of bible journaling at OL’s women’s events. You might even find a few of my handmade cards in the cafe every now and then. If it isn’t evident enough, I love working with my hands, because if it involves glue, a machine, or tying bows, you’ll definitely find me in my happy place. 🙂

One Love has been my church home since 2014 and I actually worked here from 2015-2020 doing stints as youth admin, office admin, and then finally media admin. In March of 2020, I left One Love to pursue my love of event coordinating. Joke is on me; a pandemic shut down the event realm real quickly. After 6 years of working at a grocery store, Dave and Buster’s, doing real estate transaction management, driving Instacart orders, and becoming a licensed real estate agent myself, I am finally back! And doing what I love: planning events!

In November 2025, I planned my most meaningful event to date: my wedding! Ryan and I are enjoying married life with our fur child, Charles, who is unquestionably the most spoiled member of our household. Together, we love exploring the island, finding new places to eat, and pretending that every hike is going to be a “quick and easy” one.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me on a remote peak of the Koolau Mountains, hunting down the best burgers on the island, or conducting extremely important research into Hawaiʻi’s latte scene.
