Jacob was born in South Carolina and raised in Central Florida. He is the oldest of ten siblings and is an identical twin. After graduating from high school, he attended the Baptist College of Florida for two years, where he studied music. At 20 years old, Jacob joined the United States Army and served as an infantryman in the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment. While serving, he met his wife, Kirsten, in 2015, and they were later married in March 2016. Their son, Matthias, was born in May 2019.

Jacob came to know and follow the Lord as a child at the age of six. His father, a preacher, led him to the Lord and helped disciple him in his walk with the Lord throughout his childhood. Jacob answered the call to ministry at the age of fifteen while attending a youth camp.

Jacob enjoys many hobbies, including watching football and baseball, scuba diving, playing softball, video games, building and repairing computers, golfing, and playing guitar. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends across the island.
