Jason was born in Denver, Colorado, on May 15, 1976. He enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities, from skiing, hunting, mountain biking, and baseball. That is until he started to dislike the cold. Jason met Karlena, his wife, after a young adult church service, and a little more than a year later, they got married on September 18, 1999. He has owned a lawn mowing business, has done Audio, Security, and Fire Alarm system installation, worked at a church in Colorado as an Audio engineer, and worked for Apple. In November 2006, he and his wife obeyed the call to move to Hawaii.

Jason is currently the Media Director for One Love Ministries and enjoys every moment of it. As for outdoor activities, he enjoys surfing, body surfing, stand-up paddling, and just about anything that deals with the ocean. In 2016 he and his wife started fostering children, and the Lord blessed them with the gift of adoption. In the summer of 2018, they adopted their son Jayden, and in the summer of 2020, they adopted their daughter Mikayla. However, there is one more member of the family, Koko! Koko is the small-medium dog they’ve had since 2011!
