Sharing our resources with other Christians and those in need has been a central part of Christianity since the very first days of the early church. Part of our worship is expressed in giving back to the Lord from the income with which He has blessed us. We often hear the expression “if this ministry’s been a blessing to you, we’d appreciate your support”. While this is certainly a logical response, our giving should be more than simply “paying for services”; our offerings are first to bless and honor God, and second to support and participate in the ministry of the gospel.
(1) regularly, (2) from the first part of our earnings, (3) in proportion to our income, (4) cheerfully, and (5) freely, not as a result of compulsion or pressure. You can support One Love Ministries in a significant way by investing in God’s plan to reach people with the transforming message of God’s grace. You become part of God’s provision and an answer to prayer as you participate in helping the Gospel go forward in our community. May the Lord continue to bless you as you invest His resources into His Kingdom.
In Romans 12. Paul writes: “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do.” At One Love, we want to encourage you, a member of the church body, to step into your gifting here at One Love — Not just to be recipients of what God is doing here but to also be dispensers of God’s goodness.
We are ALL part of God’s Great Commission here in the Pacific islands, on Oahu, and in our Kaka’ako neighborhood. And, as Paul suggests, each of us has a special function within the body — God has gifted you to help in ways no one else can.
There are numerous ways you can use your God-given giftings to support the smooth operations of what happens here at One Love. Thank you for bolstering our team, preparing for the harvest to come, and prayerfully considering how to get involved in the work One Love is doing.
STEP ONE // Review
Read through the various areas to serve on the dropdown menu at the bottom of this page. Carefully consider how God has gifted you as part of the body of Christ. “God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well” (Romans 12:6).
STEP TWO // Pray
Ask the Lord what part of the body would benefit from your God-given abilities. “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do” (Romans 12:4-5).
STEP THREE // Mark
Fill out your details below and mark the volunteer area where you feel called to. A team leader will follow up with you to give you more information about the opportunity and answer any questions. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10).
Join us the last Friday of each month from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. as One Love hosts a special evening of corporate worship. This is a time to come before the Lord in praise, prayer, and communion with others in the body of Christ. Bring a friend, get recharged and come and see that the Lord is good!
